A Kickstart to the Season

We, the Sidewinders, are thrilled to be returning this drone racing season and have been working harder than ever on our marketing, graphic design, and engineering responsibilities. From brainstorming logo design ideas and discussing our new drone, to building our very own website and beginning our marketing video, our team has been busy, but enjoying the fun! As the project manager of our team, I am excited to share our progress with you throughout this season through the use of this blog. Visit our website every other Wednesday to hear from us.

Our team was formed in early September during our school’s first Drone Racing Club meeting. We have three returning members, and four new members. During that meeting we assigned our team members with a team role catering to their strengths and interests. Our seven outstanding team members are:

• Ellen - Project Manager (me)

• Emily - Marketing Coordinator

• Matteo and Aiden - Design Engineers

• Ali - Manufacturing Engineer

• Leah - Drone Technician

• Gabriel - Graphic Designer

Following that meeting, we began to meet on a weekly basis, discussing our plans and goals for the season. Gabriel has worked extremely hard on creating our awesome team logo that features our team’s interest in aerospace and technology. Emily had the idea to create this fantastic website in order to market our team to sponsors and share our team’s journey to those interested.
